Virtual Fab Four: It's back!

13th March 2021

You heard right. On Easter weekend, prepare yourself for a virtual running festival to not only get your competitive juices flowing but also to raise funds for a vital cause.

Kingston upon Hull AC is inviting runners from across our region to participate in the Fab Four event, which will see teams of four compete across four different challenges.

Each team member will be required to run one of the following challenges:-

  • 1 mile: Run your fastest mile!
  • 5k: Run your fastest 5k
  • 10k: Run your fastest 10k
  • Elevation gain: As much ‘vert’ as you can gain over a 30-minute run (running up and down a hill should do it, easy right?)
Fab Four Entry

The event will take place between Good Friday and Easter Monday (2nd – 5th April 2021). Feeling competitive? You can track your fellow teams through our dedicated Strava club as well! Find that here.

Entry is £4 per individual and £16 for a team entry and 50% of the entry fee will be donated to the NSPCC.

Wish to run but can’t find a team? Fear not! Just drop us an email with your preferred challenge and we’ll allocate a team from a random pool. If you're an aspiring captain and are a team-mate or two short, just enter as many individuals as you've got and we'll try and fill the gaps as best we can!

Jayne Creer, ladies captain at Kuhac said: “Come and show us how fab you are as an individual, fab as a team and fab at raising funds for an amazing charity.

“We saw the amazing response to the fab four event when we held it as a members-only earlier this year. So to extend the invitation to the rest of our region was a no-brainer!

“We would love to see you join in and share your efforts across Facebook. Most importantly – have fun, stay safe and enjoy!”

Here's how to enter, although don't forget to read the rules first!
