NSPCC event : Miles for Smiles

9th December 2020

By Dannie Adcock-Habib

What a week it has been! Loads of Miles and an abundance of smiles. I have absolutely loved seeing how you have all embraced this challenge, and achieved so much in a week.

Can you believe in ONE WEEK our club has totted up and unbelievable 1322 miles!!! This means we have raised £1322 for the NSPCC which is just amazing and I am so proud to be part of such a brilliant club- this total comes from miles logged on strava as well as miles sent to me over messenger ❤️

Watching the leaderboards has been very tense... Last minute miles has made for some last minute changes so here it is...

In the top spot and prize winner it's
Tom Aitchison - with an amazing 61.4miles.
Bibhash Dash - a very close second with 61.2 miles and in third place it's the determined
David Rivers - with 54.8 miles who popped out for a last minute run to secure his place in the third spot.
Well done on your incredible mileage this week and for providing some evening excitement as I watched you all battle it out!

For the girls, we also have some fantastic achievements. So as I've been receiving miles via inbox for those not on Strava, we have a surprise entry for the top spot. In first place and winner of the prize for the ladies it's
Kim Escritt - with an amazing 40 miles of running! In second it's
Sarah Rowland - with 35.1 miles, and in third place it's
Vanessa Snelgrove - with 27.6 miles. Just AMAZING. Well done to you all ❤️
